- Trading bot. A small program that sends buy and sell orders for you, following instructions you gave it.
- Paper trading. Practising with pretend money in a practice account, so a mistake doesn't cost real money.
- Rule. One plain sentence your bot's orders can either follow or break, such as "No single order above 50 shares."

- Write your rules. One sentence each. You choose every number.
- Practise on paper. Run a bot on a practice account, with pretend money.
- Look back at what happened. Read your records next to your rules and see which ones were followed and which were not followed.
